This new construction consists of 2 brand new industrial units standing at 88,000 and 38,000 sq ft. In the pre hand over phase Boomdob was originally brought in by an external cleaning company to assist with sticker removal from newly installed glazing. The job took a day using our cherry picker, saving the client the hassle of hiring a separate machine and operator
While carrying out the sticker removal, Dob noticed that one set of first-floor windows were missing silicone pointing. He alerted the main contractor, Mulberry Construction Ltd, who immediately instructed Boomdob to carry out the remedial work. Although the space between the building and boundary was too narrow for direct access, this was no problem, with the long reach on our cherry picker Dob was able to complete the job quickly and safely from the next door carpark of the gym
Used to working on industrial units it also came to Dob's attention the glass canopies were yet to be installed above both entrances. With Dob's experience in commercial and industrial roofing and cladding and building envelope this was also something he could do. He arranged for a scissor lift and fitted two large glass canopies (six panels each). While on the lift, he also installed missing weep vents and glazing beads in the windows. Impressed by Dob’s initiative and capability, Mulberry’s Defects & Maintenance Manager (based in Leeds) began relying on Boomdob to handle and coordinate a wide range of tasks

He sourced and organised a number of other trades - a mastic man for work in the toilets and entrance areas, a tiler to install splashback tiling in the toilets and cleaning cupboards and a locksmith to change locks where keys were missing
Due to our cherry picker being electric it is also suitable for indoor use. Dob carried out a number of tasks inside including removing site debris trapped in the internal sheeting rails, repairing a bent sheet rail damaged by machinery and replacing a tie bar at approx. 10m high
We were also asked to install three external bat boxes to meet planning obligations and Dob later supported Mulberry on another project, repairing a damaged cladding door head at their Plumbase site
