DMA Property Solutions Ltd contacted Boomdob when they needed a quick but skilled solution to install a vent cover over an extractor fan outlet on the third floor of a residential block of flats. Their client’s flat was located high up at the front of the building, directly above the main entrance.
Due to the layout of the site, traditional access options were not viable. Scaffolding was ruled out as it would have blocked the main entrance to the flats, creating disruption and access issues for residents. The job was also too quick and low-cost to justify the time and expense of a scaffold installation.
An ali tower was also considered, but uneven ground and stone steps at the building’s entrance posed both a safety risk and a potential for damage - something neither DMA nor their client wanted to risk
The Solution
Boomdob arrived on-site with our electric cherry picker, which provided safe, quiet, non-disruptive access to the third floor without interfering with resident access. Within 20 minutes, the vent was securely fitted, and the job completed safely and efficiently
